Tomás J. Sanabria B.

Tomas Sanabria Borjas, is a Venezuelan cardiologist, graduated from the faculty of medicine at the Universidad Central de Venezuela with a graduate degree in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Harvard Medical School.

With over 30 years in the practice of cardiology in Centro Médico de Caracas, Dr. Sanabria has had an intense academic activity, as he has been a professor at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, visiting professor at the University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse - France and the Massachusetts Medical Center. Currently a member of the American Medical Association and the American Heart Association, Fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Sanabria has also been a founding member and director (2001-06) of the Venezuelan Society of Interventional Cardiology, Foreign Corresponding Member of the French Society of Cardiology, member of the Board of Directors of Centro Medico de Caracas (1982 to 1985 and 1991 to 1994), among others.

Dr. Tomas Sanabria has been awarded the Social Volunteer Award - American College of Physicians / Chapter Venezuela in May 2001, Venezuela Competitiva, 2009 and has been well rewarded in 2011 with the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award, by the Schwab Foundation (Switzerland-World Economic Forum) and Fundación Venezuela Sin Límites, for his initiative in Telemedicine developed thru his work in Fundación Proyecto Maniapure, nonprofit organization of which Dr. Sanabria is a founding member and President.
